Since 2025 I have been the long-term technical lead for Akademie Schloss Solitude’s Web Residencies program, an ongoing retainer engagement covering server infrastructure, digital archiving, and hands-on support for resident artists through group sessions, one-on-one meetings, and creative coding workshops. Digital Solitude’s residency cycle is a good example of that work because it brought together projects with very different technical needs, interfaces, and preservation requirements.

Akademie Schloss Solitude is a public law foundation in Stuttgart that has supported more than 1,700 artists and researchers from over 120 countries since 1990. Its Web Residencies program commissions web-based works and publishes both process and outcome online. My role sits between operations and artistic production: maintaining hosting and archives, consulting on technical decisions, and helping residents move from concept to working public interface without flattening the specific logic of each project.

The images here come from four projects developed in that context. Shaheer Tarar’s Spiral Getty maps Wikipedia into a visual research spiral and was exhibited at transmediale 2026. Hyunseo Cho’s Vanish Pointer turns interface hierarchy into a navigable perspective system, and credits me as Development Advisor. CattleDAO // Ahmedabad Node proposes a governance interface around urban bovine care. Rok Kranjc’s Game-Changers: The Game extends a performative game format into a crypto commons platform. Taken together, they show the range of work involved in supporting an online residency program: infrastructure that stays stable, archives that remain accessible, and technical feedback shaped to the needs of each artist rather than forcing a single production model.
